Stan and Virginia Quillen founded Waynesboro Landscape and Garden Center in 1946 to provide the best possible garden products and landscape services to the city of Waynesboro and its surrounding towns. The business remained within the Quillen family for 75 years, with sons Stan and Lee Quillen taking over the business from their parents and running the garden center and landscape divisions until 2021.
In September of 2021, Craig and Kim Johnson purchased Waynesboro Landscape & Garden Center with the mission of empowering teammates to deliver quality landscape & garden products and services as well as an exceptional customer experience. They have continued the family business with the addition of their son Nathan, daughter Abi, and daughter-in-law Kate all both play vital roles in the administrative and customer service aspects of the operation.

Their full-service retail Garden Center offers a wide variety of plants, plant material, trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, seeds, gardening tools, and home decor. They also have a full-service landscape design and installation department with 5 designers and 18 installers who work tirelessly every day to bring our customer’s dreams to life. As a result, both the Garden Center and Landscape division have been recognized as “Best in Virginia” for several years running. Their work in the outdoor space does not stop there, as they also own Virginia Boxwood Company and All Seasons Irrigation & Lighting for all your boxwood pruning, irrigation system installation/maintenance, and landscape lighting needs.
