This beginner oil painting class is a perfect introduction to the media you’ve always wanted to try. Join Anna for a foray into the world of oil painting for a day.
Students will learn the basics of paint handling, color mixing, how to lay out a composition, and the process of building up color to create form. We will work from a provided still life and students will leave with a finished floral painting.
Materials List:
* Palette
* Oil Brushes sizes 2, 4, and 12 in flat or round
* Canvas size 16×24 or similar
* Paper towels

* Oil paints in full range of colors
* Thinning medium
* Easels
* Still Life set up
Anna Bryant lives and works on a historic farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia. She received a BFA in Painting from James Madison University in 2004, then continued her studies with the America Institute in Vienna, Austria.
